running no silencers with inframes?

some dude was riding his shee with fmf 's and no silencers...

i dont really know about the hp gains, but as far as the dirtyness goes if you dont have a black bike good luck my silencer fell of for about 300 yards and now my white plastics are balck as night on the under part and there was signs of melting so i wouldnt try it unless you dont got rear fenders

i say he would lose lower rpm power

 

most straight shot pipes have no low rpm power at all

lol i really dont see how he could gain any hp. the stinger completes the tuning of the pipe. if ya was runnin with only the silencers cut off it may gain a little bit but its not worth all the noise it will make .... want more hp? change to a inframe drag pipe,port it,carb it,add some timing,reeds ..... do it the right way and remember the majority tune of the pipe comes from the head pipe and expansion chamber shape and diameter, the diameter of the stinger also plays a large roll in how far the pipe will rev. ie: my shearer stingers are smaller diameter than the fatty stinger, and we all know which pipe revs farther!

i knew that dude was just talkin crap ... i think takin those silencers off his bike made it run slower

I had my silencers come off on my T5's on a ride once. LOUD AS HELL!!! I had to ride back to camp on a dirt road. I will say the engine revved higher but it didn't have the power it had with the silencers on. It wasn't much difference but it was enough to notice.
