laramik
I am in the process of doing a cosmetic rebuild on my 99 shee. I recently noticed that the left rear hub seems to be a little shaky on the axle. Meaning that if I apply pressure against it from left to right it kind of is loose a little. Why would that be. I believe I have a plus 2 lonestar axle. Any ideas???
DIRTMAN350
Is the castle nut loose for the hub? Try to tighten it first. Check your splines on the axle and the hub for spline wear or damage.
laramik
The castle nuts seem to be tight. Where are the splines at. I'm somewhat new at this.???
Wallynut
Pull the castle nut off, pull off the hub, the splines are what keeps the hub from spinning on the axle. If you have been riding like that for awhile, you may have ruined the splines on either/both the hub or axle.
sheefreak
And you are really going to want to torque the hell out of that castle nut also. I use a 3/4 drive to tighten mine.
