guttedEF
I just ordered a 2+2 Durablue axle from ebay and I'm not sure what all parts I need. I do have the castle nuts and sleeves for the end. The main thing I'm confused on is the "posi-lock" nut. I think it may be different for which type of Durablue axle it is. (i.e. HD, Eliminator, etc.) I have no idea which type it is or how to tell. I couldn't get much help from the local shops since I didn't buy it from them. I just wanna make sure I order the right part to make this thing work. By the way, I did search and couldn't find anything. Thanx in advance guys Gene
sheefreak
The spacers for width and axle nut came w/mine. May want to get new set of axle bearings and seals, but should come w/everything to put on.

guttedEF
I don't think I exlpained exactly what I"m needed help on.. ha Sorry guys I posted this late last night. The person I bought mine from appears to have stripped the lock nut. I need to order a new one but I don't know which one to get because if I"m reading correctly, the different Durablue axels have different nuts. I'm assuming you can't use the stock ones since they thread on, correct? I've never had my axle apart so I don't know much about the parts back there, I'll know soon though.. ha Thanx again guys.. Wicked98Shee
if it is splined and uses a circlip/split ring where the axle nut goes, then you will need the axle nut for the eliminator axle.
guttedEF
if it is splined and uses a circlip/split ring where the axle nut goes, then you will need the axle nut for the eliminator axle. 499335[/snapback] I just messaged the guy I bought it from and he thought the same thing. Is there anything else I may need? I already have to split rings, the sleeves on the outside of the axle and the castle nuts. I'm just nto familiar with this axle, and I can't really look at my stock stuff to see what I need, since it used splines instead of threads. Thanks. Wicked98Shee
it sounds like you only need the axle nut for the eliminator axle .. i just ordered one my self it was 70 bucks... not bad i guess. i also found that by the time was shipped it was cheaper to get it through my local stealership lol Edited April 10, 2006 by Wicked98Shee
