OnlyA2Stroke
I have a stock 06 Banshee and I am upgrading to the T5's. Should I just get the whole kit: Pipes, stingers, silencers, jet kit, uni filter, and pod filters? Or should I just get the pipes, stingers, silencers, jet kit, and a custom Outerwears cover? I don't want to run without a airbox or without a lid. Also, will a 260 or 270 main jet be good for this setup, which comes with this kit? Or will I just have to do the plug chop, then decide? I ride on gravel roads, trails, etc. I live in Missouri and I don't know what the elevation is off hand.
hittintrees srh
Dude your gunna love the power those pipes give ya!!!!!!! Dont get the uni-filter. Go buy the pro-flow w/a k&n filter..I hear they flow and filter better ----don't quote me on that though---- ive got pods-but you wanna keep you airbox if you do a search-there have probably been a ton of suggested jet set-up's for a bike with your mods. Banshee~
If you keep the airbox take the lid off and put in some 320 mains and if you get the clamp on filters put in a 340 (30 pilot). Those settings worked for me at 1300 ft. elevation and 90 degree weather.
biggun6ss
Just get the pipes and everything you need to fit them. Since you want to keep your air box get the jet kit and a k&n filter that will fit inside the box. You will have to change your main jets but it is real easy. Set your needle on the 4th clip from the top and your pilot jets should be fine. You might have to adjust your air screws a little to get a good throttle response. OnlyA2Stroke
Cool thanks peeps. I will probably stick with the uni air filter and 1" pod filters. I just don't know how well this K&N will hold up in my dusty conditions. I know foam has held up fine and have used UNI for many years. I was just looking for something more to push me to K&N for offroad. It has been ordered and will be here next week.

It will breathe a lot better and you can still put your lid back on when you wash your bike. Your K&N will hold up to the dusty condition, make sure you are running an outerwear with it. I've had a couple of foam filters disenegrate on me over the years, from age and my K&N's have lasted a long time.

You will get a good power gain and will notice the difference.
Toomey Banshee
Been down your road before. Get pod K & N's, rejet (probably around 340's or so on the main, 30's on the pilot) run outer wares and be done with it. You'll wind up there sooner or later. OnlyA2Stroke
OK, so I need the K & N filter, Pro Flo Adapter, Outerwears, and proper jets. I WILL be running with a lid and a hole cut in it with outerwear cover.... What jets do i need with this setup? 280-290 comes with the T5 kit right? That is with the lid or drilled 1" holes for those pods in the lid. Should I go with 300-310-320 with this setup(see pic)? I am installing all at once: Toomey T5's w/ jetkit, K&N with Pro flo adapter, Outerwear airbox cover and V-force III's. I just want to run with a lid for awhile. I like to hit the shallow creeks sometimes. I ride rain or shine. So this might be a better setup for me.
Shee_Rookie
I run the UNI filter with six 1" holes into the back of the airbox and two on each side with those snap-in filters. I also took the snorkle off, but left the lid on. Work great and I ride alot of dirt.
Slayer1018
Why not just get the Toomey 2:1?
biggun6ss
If I were you I would get jets from 250-350. That way you have every jet you will need for your stock carbs with bolt on mods. If you do any motor work like porting or using cubs, you will need a bigger carbs.
