tithead Posted April 1, 2006 Report Share Posted April 1, 2006 iv had my yfz450 for a year and a half now. change the oil every 2 races (race mx). i put a new piston in, checked valve seals, valve timing and for wear. everything was completely fine apart from the usual wear on a piston, so i replaced it with a new one. i use silkolene pro4 oil in her and cant complain. i changed the piston in january if i remember rightly, i had a year and a bit out of it.
