Pringel Valve? What do you guys think of them?

Recommended Posts

My mechanic says the only thing my bike needs now is a Pringel Valve. He says my bike is really sucking fuel. Im not sure if he is just trying to get more money out of me or if they really are as good as he says they are? What do you guys think of them? Are they worth every penny? or are the stock valves fine? thanks

they are nice the flow to each carb is great. i still have a problem with air bubbles in the lines. it sucks you have to drain the bowl to clear them. then after wards works great.

if your motor needs fuel or on alky it would be a good investment.

there were some on ebay going cheap

the pingel is great on any banshee whether its stock or highly modded.it allows much more supply to the carbs than the stock petcock does since it has a larger tube feeding from the tank and dual lines to carbs instead of one then teeing into two lines.

wes there must be a simple reason your getting air bubbles in lines.i never have trouble with bubbles in my lines.probally just the way you have them routed and bent.

I got the one that hooks into my boost bottle, I also recomend brown power bands. They asre said with this setup alone on a stocker you can get 30-35 mpg and =20 h.p*

*Depending on what powerband you get

Yellow 20 h.p

Red 2.09987 hp

Black 70 hp

Blue .oooo00005 hp

Tie Dye Hippie hp

Clear 27.69 ft/lbs hp

I just modded my stock one by drilling out opposite the stock outlet and putting a new barb in there. I dont know if it will flow as much as the Pingel one but I like having the 2 separate lines instead of spliting the single hose into two.

75 dollars might be a cheap investment and peace of mind instead of a whole new top end when you runner her empty at the end of the strip.

i was just thinking the same thing..

on the larger gas motors your still going to be out flowing the stock petcock by the carbs..

i would get one and put it in yourself instead of paying someone to do it for you, its fairly simple to do as well the basics of it are you pull off the stock one, cut out the middle section to fit the pingel in it and the screw the plate on to the tank, the teflon tape the threads on the valve and screw it in.. not too much work at all to have the piece of mind that your stuff isnt going to suck the lines dry..
