Taking cylinder out

Recommended Posts

I just contacted Kenz to port my cylinders. I had heard good things about them. Told him I wanted a port job. Next thing I know he is telling me I need Vforce reeds, welded crank, etc., etc.. I had to cut him off to explain that I already had all of the bolt ons installed and just wanted a port job. He replys with, "Well, bring in the motor so we can port the cylinders and tune the motor. It will run you $1,033." Frankly, he didn't seem too interested in doing the work and I am not too interested in spending my money there. :bolt:

:whoa: That's a hell lot of money

I called D&M and they will charge:

$350 porting both cylinders

$ 75 milling the head

$ 90 boring both cylinders

$300 if you bring the bike to their shop

I am planning to do the trear down the motor my self, so I am looking to spend:

D&M shop $515

Comeric gaskets from RM $23

watching my self saving $300 learning how to tear down the motor PRICELESS

:D
