trex banshee
he doesnt need the puller yet, he's still trying to get the nut that is holding it on 489849 exactly what i was going to say.
Justintoxicated
I hate those damn things...They do make a tool to hold the flywheel and crank in place while your removing the nut. If its really stuck on there, your risking fuggin up your crank (twisting it) by simply leaving the bike (in gear) and stomping the bakes. After you do get it off I sometimes put a little grease on it before torquing it back on at spec so I don't have to go through that BS again.. The China Freight Impacts suck on small compressors unless you get the one (less max torque) made for less air pressure. My litte 4 gallon Copmpressor won't power that shit enough to take a lug nut off my truck tires let alone get my flywheel off. I find it pretty much useless. Does your leak air pressure when you have it hooked to the compressor? Mine does....I took it back to get another because my frist one leakes so bad i would barley even turn. The second one still elaks air but much slower...I never should have bought that POS... I actualy have to Brake the nuts loose by hand before using my china impact which pretty much defeats it's purpose. trex banshee
he said that his impact is electric. have you made sure you are using the right size of socket????

I just borrowed a 17mm impact, so I will try it now and see if I can get it off....
trex banshee
well then put it in gear and try taking it off if the keyway is sheared the bike should try rolling.
holeshotkid
Load it up and bring you socket down to your local tire shop. They will surely have a good high powered impact gun that will get the nut loose.
Justintoxicated
It will kinda feel like you are cranking on a spring when putting the Nut back on. Get a deep well impact socket, I could never get a regular socket on the nut very well.

Get a deep well impact socket, I could never get a regular socket on the nut very well. 490034 I tried a deep well impact socket (17mm) but it would not even fit into the opening...It was a Matco socket...I also tried the regular socket again just now completely holding the flywheel still with the rubber grip tool, hammering it a bit before starting, and trying to quickly tighten it then trying to remove it...ALL with no luck. Load it up and bring you socket down to your local tire shop. They will surely have a good high powered impact gun that will get the nut loose. 490025 I am taking it to a freind down the street who has a good air impact tomorrow...Hope this works! Guest nightmare
Try spraying it with PB Blaster. That is the best out there, WD40m, liquid wrench, and all that other stuff doesn't work for me. Spray it and let it sit for a while.
RNBRAD
You need to use a little heat. I would use one of those mini micro torches. Heat the nut up just a tad, going in circles over it for about 10 seconds then try zipping it off with the impact. Once you get it off, put some anti-sieze on the threads when you torque the nut back on.
reded
I swear I've never seen anyone have this much trouble, or receive this much help over one damn nut!

Wallrat
I've got the same impact as you (cept I got mine on sale for $35) and I had to sit it on there for a few seconds the first time I pulled my flywheel. I made my own brace out of some scrap metal. Basically it was a banana shaped piece of flat bar w/ a straight piece welded to the end to rest on the ground. Then I welded a couple nubs onto the banana to drop into the flywheel holes. Had to leave the impact on there for a good 10 seconds before it finally gave way. When I put it all back together I put some grease on the threads and used a torque wrench to make everything the proper torque. Now I can get by w/out my goofy banana tool. Here's the sockets I use: China Sockets Edited March 21, 2006 by Wallrat
