Leaded Gasoline?

i can get racing fuel VP for cheap and theres one that says that is designed for stock and modified 2-strokes applications.makes 6% more power than pump gas and any basic nonoxygenated racing fuel. Makes engine s faster and more responsive without harming the carburator,o-ring, or gaskets the Octane of this fuel is 101 based not on RON octane is based on MON octane!? so i guess i could use it ??

so or i should keep using the Unleaded 101 that doesnt says that is for 2-stroke but i get alot of power and i feel the difference from premium :bolt: or can i use methanol?

Take a look guys. He's also running +7 advance.

You want to run the lowest octane w/out getting detonation. The internet is full of guys that swear they notice a difference w/ higher octane fuels. But I think the change is psychological (not to mention financial) vs. physical. Gotta justify spending all that cash somehow! If the 101 has worked well for you so far, stick w/ that.

well if your only running 20cc domes id stay with the unleaded  hell you dont even need racing gas you dont have any compression. with less compression and higher octane fuel its actually gonna slow you down. i ran 19cc domes with 60hp nitrous and was runnin 110 cheap shit from the pump never hurt it  but ya wiht you id stay with the unleaded  premium id say but he what do i know

here in my country the PREMIUM fuel is like the regular shit on ur country..even so badly that the goverment had to pay like to 1,200 drivers they fuel pump that got fucked...i was using the premium fuel the other day and the engine was knokng so i run 50/50 to prevent

You do realize that you aren't going to gain any power simply by switching to higher octane fuel right?

do you realize that fuel also play its roll on making power on engines????

Wallrat: yea u got me rite..i want to get the lowest octane w/o detonation like i mentioned the fuel here IS SHIT so i was getting detonation when using the fuel of some pumps so i better b on the safe side than on the wrong...also i dont run fully race fuel i mix50/50

I understand fully. But why do I want to spend the extra money to get high octane fuel when I can realize the full potential of my current setup using pump premium? I won't gain anything by switching to 110 octane fuel and leaving everything else alone...

So we agree then. All I am trying to get across is that you will not get any more power from running higher octane fuel than is required. I don't care what you are required to do to get adequate fuel in your country.

Besides, what you are saying now wasn't said in your original statement. Am I supposed to mind read and see that you are in a place that doesn't have adequate pump gas?

Just my $.02...

Good point!!

It's been proven countless times on dyno's, there's little benefit when using a higher octane fuel than your motor requires. Only time a race fuel will show a horsepower improvment is when your running higher compression and/or timing advance or an oxygenated race fuel. Although I do believe race fuel has better cooling affect on the cylinders and pistons. That should add up to something. :shrugani:

I don't understand the question and answers..... QUESTION was leaded fuel in two stroke engines! TWO stroke engines LOVE leaded fuel "Period"

hes 100% right on that  thats why i run low lead aviation fuel, responsive, clean burning and 2 strokes just love it
