dajogejr
Seriously....not trying to sound like an ass...but, use the search function. The T5 is arguably one of if not the best all around pipe...stock or built. The CPI is a drag pipe. CPIs love higher RPMs, they love drag ports, bigger carbs, etc. Sure, they'll work with stock porting and stock carbs, etc....but, they're a drag pipe. are you ready to go that far to make the most of the pipe?? I'm building a 4 mil cub and plan on keeping my stock carbs and T5s this year. Then...maybe bigger carbs and Shearer inframes next year...we'll see.... Do a search...there's a wealth of info on pipes here...and opinions as well.
bansheeryder_69
Basicly dajo hit it on the head. T5's-good all around pipe, respond good to mods but still run awesome with a stock motor. CPI'S-not an all around pipe. mostly made for sand dunes and drag strips. Responds awesomely to mods (carbs/porting/reeds) pull HARD in the high RPM range keep your t5's until you go to a 4mill+ stroker, insane porting, and alcohol P.S. if you decide to sell your t5's hit me up

Of course I got the drag pipes to go with a port job and other misc engine work. I put em on prematurely just for shits and giggles and they seem to have a little more bottom end than my fatties did. They have more top end also. Nothing impressive though, still have stock jugs and carbs. And of course they are louder than the fmf's. I dont know what the toomeys sound like. I'd say go ahead and get em if you plan on doing any major modifications to your engine. Just dont spend 500 more bucks on another pipe thinking that its gonna make a bigger difference say...than porting.
