broke
At least I know by the lack of response to my offer that we have narrowed it down to more than $4000, but less than $7000. I didn't really expect you to accept that offer, but to counter it with a higher offer. I can't complain, it's the closest thing to a price we have been able to figure out yet. What would a new frame like that run? I would like to get one, one way or another. Edited March 20, 2006 by broke
.
frame itself used you could get for around a grand, they run about 1500 to 1800 new. I know of complete chassis that LRD? used to make or maybe someone else that was everything except wiring, lights, engine, plastic and wheels, handlebars, etc. for 5200. And that was all brand new stuff. This guys has a long travel front end on it though. What would you sell it for minus the plastic, engine, wiring? Wouldnt be interested in another banshee + some cash would you? I've got 2 banshees, one with a lot more work than the other.....only difference in the sell would be the amount of cash to go with it. docbones
C`mon guys do not be foolish. You can not compare a 250R geometry Banshee which are very rare and special to any other Banshee. Completely different worlds. This machine is worth at least 7K in not so good cond! The value of Banshees are down, however this is a special piece. broke
I agree doc. but you are right and the price of Banshees, even this, is down. I'm not sure what he actually wants for it, but I know for sure what he doesn't want for it. It's a nice piece, the trouble is that alot of new bikes handle as good. I am a Banshee nut, and something like this is to me what Yamaha should have built from the start. I kind of think he might just be fishing to see what it's worth to buyers, which is cool. It's hard to put a price on limited production machines. Does $5000 seem like a reasonable offer? Edited March 21, 2006 by broke

broke
Out of my league, but thank you for a final answer. Good luck with the sale. If you decide to part it out, let me know. I'm really only after the chassis, the motor you can keep. Edited March 22, 2006 by broke
broke
I'd even go to $6000 if we can arrange something as far as meeting half way. You are just quite a ways from me. Edited March 24, 2006 by broke
