Elka Dune Series - Dual or Triple Rate Spring?

Hey guys, I'm buying a set of a-arms and shocks for my brother as a present. I'm going to buy them off of Alba's website. Shocks and a-arms for $850, seems like a pretty good deal and it sounds like the alba arms are alright too.

The only thing I'm not sure is whether or not to get a dual or triple-rate spring. By default they come with a double. I emailed alba and they said a double is fine because the banshee isn't that heavy. My brother weighs somewhere around 180. Not sure if I just want to take their advice on it.

If it makes any difference, they're the dune edition shocks from Alba.

thanks

850 sounds like a helluva deal to me. I'm kind of a fatass and I run the recreational editions in a dual rate. They ride good and I hav'ent bottomed my bike out or anthing. I dont know if you would need triple rates unless you plan on doing a lot of jumping. :shrugani:
