ltz
Hey guys, I'm buying a set of a-arms and shocks for my brother as a present. I'm going to buy them off of Alba's website. Shocks and a-arms for $850, seems like a pretty good deal and it sounds like the alba arms are alright too. The only thing I'm not sure is whether or not to get a dual or triple-rate spring. By default they come with a double. I emailed alba and they said a double is fine because the banshee isn't that heavy. My brother weighs somewhere around 180. Not sure if I just want to take their advice on it. If it makes any difference, they're the dune edition shocks from Alba. thanks

I'm kind of a fatass and I run the recreational editions in a dual rate. They ride good and I hav'ent bottomed my bike out or anthing. I dont know if you would need triple rates unless you plan on doing a lot of jumping.
knight_ripper
I read somewhere that dual's were better for banshee's. I know that triples are an overkill unless your racin or hittin some big dune jumps.

ltz
Haha, well he's been working on my Z for the past two months or so nonstop. Just finished it the other day (440 now), and going to break it in this weekend. Definitely earned it!
Justintoxicated
You did the right thing, the banshee shock is too benefit from the 3rd spring unless you want a self sagging shock and a little less travel.
