400rednEX Posted February 27, 2006 Report Share Posted February 27, 2006 i couldn't find any thing by searching, has anyone removed these and epoxied in studs or something? i'm talking about the ones to mount the tank cover & front plastics at the back of the tank. reded Posted February 27, 2006 Report Share Posted February 27, 2006 If the bolt is still in it just chuck it up to a drill and spin it till the plastic gets hot enough for the insert ot come out. Clean the hole up a little and get some epoxy that is resistant to gas. The fumes coming thru the tank can ruin some types of epoxy. Then, just fill up the hole with epoxy and put the insert back in.
