bigvbanshee
I just bought a used 01 banshee. It looks like it was'nt well cared for. I just tryed starting it for the fisrt time and I was'nt getting any spark. I did some trouble shooting and found the only way I get spark is if I hold the Thumb throttle in at least a quater way while starting. When I dont hold the thumb throttle in I dont get any spark. Is this normal and what is the propper starting procedure. Thanks

Thanks 475414[/snapback] i don't mean to be rude, but here's some advice: unless you know a shitload about them and buy a clunker with the sole intentions of rebuilding from the ground up... never buy a bike, then try to start it for the 1st time after the fact. outside of that, i would agree, unhook the tors and see what happens. do a search, there are plenty of threads on doing it.
