no i didnt go to college to be a cop....my original plan was to do something along the lines of a probation/parole officer.....but after i started working at the sheriffs dept...i decided i wanted to be a cop...yes the academy does accept non college oriented people....as of right now you dont have to have a degree to be a cop...but if you want to move up and be anything other than a road officer..you do have to have a degree...plus its always nice to say you have a degree :shrugani:

Are you at NAS Lemoore?? I was stationed there from 89-94...Airframes VFA-125 F-18 Hornets. Got out of the Marines and went to Kuwait to wrench on Hornets for some decent dollars. It worked out...

Anyways...Don't do that anymore. Now a Systems Engineer for State University.

Ran from Mt Pinatubo with Uncle Sam's AF in the 90's..retired in '96. Pay bills by way of the Tonopah Test Range and a pretty good gig as an electrician. My "living" involves flying an old cessna for fun, spending time around critters for sanity, and tormenting all kinds of mechanical things for reasons I can't begin to explain...lol
