williamjernigan
OK I have my tecate wich I am installing a 44 lectron on as soon as it gets warm so that I can run methonol. I will run it into the side of the reed cage. If I wanted to also have nitrous with it how would I hook it up. Would I run dry into the airfilter or wet with the alcohol somehow? If anyone has done this or knows someone who has done this please give some advice. I only want to run a 9 or 12oz bottle with about a 10 or 15 horsepower shot. alcoholbanshee
I would fab up a 1/2" spacer plate and mount your nozzle in it, or if you have a billet intake mount the nozzle there. As for the fuel question, I run a wet system on my banshee, I run alky thru the carbs and spray mixed gas with the nitrous. Mount your nozzle in between the carb and reeds, I am not sure how well it would work otherwise. It would most likely blow out your reeds. I fabbed a small aluminum tank for my gas that I spray with the nitrous. A couple things to think about. Stay away from carbon fiber reeds, they tend to freeze and break. And you will need to retard your timing when spraying,I have found 1.5 degrees retarded for every 10 horse shot seems to work well. I have a NX kit and it is a very nice setup.
