locogato11283
It's going to require you to put spacers on your right foot peg to clear the extended cover. This also means longer bolts on the peg. I also had to tweak the brake pedal to work well with the wider cover. you dont need spacers. i dont run spacers on mine. just tweaked the brake pedal a little bit. dajogejr
Spacing or tweaking the peg will be no problem at all. Ok...and thanks for all your input by the way...two more questions. 1. Who/where/how much $$ does it cost for a modified side cover or aftermarket side cover and... 2. Does it really make it shift worse? Again...I'll probably dune and play drag with my buddies most of the time. But...I plan on running some open and fast trails. however...I don't want to have to kill meself shifting this baby.... I do like the non-HD clutch spring ideas I've heard...Popeye forearms I have not...(yet... ) Thanks again...lads.
blueshee03
it usually costs around 175.00 and up depending on where you have it done.i run a lockup on my clutch and it shifts great with it but then i run an overide tranny .squeezing the clutch is no different with the lockup then it is without it and i would reccomend you just run the stock springs. bkabina
The older style lock-ups used a spacer on the foot peg.The new styles don't use any spacers.Regular riding with a lock-up is no different, shifting and clutch pull will be the same. They cover and lock-up will probably start around $325. but it depends on if you use a core or if you want it polished.Just shop around, most any builders can get them for you.Feel free to PM me if you have any questions or need help. Ls7colorado
I see now! looks like a very effective way to add more holding pressure without having stiffer springs/exspensive clutches.... O yall already knew that........

bigboybanshee
how bout if everyone calls you DaFaag from now on? everyone in favor say DAFAAG!!! 472701[/snapback] LMFAO Using 3 stock springs and 3 HD springs the pull on the clutch is not bad at all. Shifting is no different than it is using a stock setup, the only thing that changes really is the fact that your clutch isn't slipping...If you're running over 70hp, and plan to drag race a lot, the lockout is a good investment IMHO Here's some more visual incentive for you. dajogejr
Damn...that sure is purdy... I'm hoping to be over 70 with cubs and a 4 mil.... I run Jeff's clutch, 3HD springs and 3 stock springs now with an easy clutch lever...it's not bad at all. Seriously...that's a good looking setup you got there....
