brokesoftwaretester
Is it safe to load a 4-stroke straight up like my banshee? I'm cautious because of oil leaking past the rings and filling up in the combustion chamber(I plan on pulling a plug to see). I have a Trail Boss and a 400ex I could stand up. I've seen guys hauling their ex's to glamis standing up. I'd like to know before the ride on Sunday!
bansheefreak
im sure it be fine just let it sit for awhile before you start it let you oil get back in the crankcase...

woodro77
the other day i stood my banshee up and oil came out of the carbs is that normal?
STLBILL
What about fuel in the carburetor bowl draining into the air filter? EDIT: To previous poster - oil or fuel? Oil is bad and weird. Fuel is possible because of the above. It shouldn't be much, but it is enough to start a fire in the airbox under the right conditions. banshee tuner
Stand it up, just don't sit it back down and fire up and take off right away. Check your oil before you crank up just to be sure.
Wallrat
If ur asking cuz you've seen the occassional bike puke oil when stood up then ur observing one of the differences between a wet sump vs. a dry sump. Usually higher performance engines use a dry sump but watch out...I know the older Predators had a wet sump. Found that one out the messy way. If its a dry sump go ahead and stand her up, but I'd let her sit for 5 min or so before starting it just to be safe.
