phxrider
My AC Sixpack Rack needs some straightening. It looks like the previous owner popped the bike up, and it got caught on the sixpack rack bending it upward at about a 25 degree angle. What do you guys recommend for straightening back into shape? A friend of mine said that it would discolor it by applying heat? is this true, or is he smokin something good?
scuba147
I have the same rack--i put a 5 foot pipe throught it and bent it by putting my weight on the pipe. Check for cracks at the rear of the subframe also---mine had 2 cracks by the voltage regulator welds area
BigRed350x
Heat it up with oxy-acetaline and just bend it back straight. I've done it with shifters, brake levers, grab bars, handle bars... works on eveything.
