RIPPEN
Not to big into it or never really watched it??? I just know a few people who said they didn't like it but after they watched a couple GOOD fights they got into it. As for seeing it live, that would be the shit. I was gonna go for this fight but I have tons of other stuff to take care of. I think the tix were between like 100-700 bucks. Allot of money when you factor everything in. Iam deffinatly gonna try and make it to a fight this year though. RIPPEN

RIPPEN 466749 Me and my wife caught some on our anniversary when we went away for the weekend, and she loved it....found that strange. We sat there and watched these older matches for a few hours, and I had no idea that she'd be into that sort of thing. I guess I better come out on top if I ever get in a scrap..... Cotton eyed Joe
Now that I think about it, they used to have local matches on one of the shitty public access channels here. I dont know if they got shut down or not, but it used to be sunday nights, and it was live. There were a few guys that could put a hurting down. One guy wanted to try it to see "if he still had it from highschool"...swear to god thats what he said. He used to be a wrestler. After he put out his smoke, he got into the ring, ref said fight, he ran towards his opponent, and was promptly put into a submission choke hold. The one where opponenets are facing each other, and one guy is literally being hung by the other guys arm. A majority of this guys weight was being suppored by his neck now. The guy fought it until he passed out and the ref stopped the fight as he hits the mat. I never laughed so hard in my life. 9-10 seconds max. Gargamel
I say Chuck Liddell will be the winner in this one. He has better stand up and won't let it go to the ground. I won't be seeing this one though, just ain't got the dough. So if anyone tapes it send me a copy

There has been a few fights lately that have been quick like that. One I watched the other night went 11 sec. Guy ran out and missed with his swing and left himself wide open... Lights out. Whats also funny though is how the UFC started. You watch the early ones and they look like they are just in a gym or somethin. Now its a huge event where tickets are like sever hundred bucks. Think spike has really helped the sport RIPPEN
biggun6ss
Wow, no one thinks hughs can win against gracie. Hoyce was good back in the day because no one else new that fighting style here in the USA. Now everyone knows exactly what Hoyce knows. In the past couple years Hoyce has been loosing fights and winning very few. He has lost at the Pride fighting championships, king of the cage, and some grappling tournaments. The entire gracie family used to be unmatched until now. I hope Randy wins the fight. I like both fighters the same but I would like to see Randy win so he could retire with the belt. By the way anyone watched the Heavy weight Arlovsky (can't remember how to spell it) now that is one bad man. Glad I never had to train or fight with that guy
Gargamel
Wow, no one thinks hughs can win against gracie. Hughs will win. He has age and size plus talent on his side. It should be a good fight but I say Hughs gets the advantage and will win. The fight I want to see from the others in that series is Keith Jardine Vs. Mike Whitehead Whitehead looked like a great big pussy in the show fight, but Hughs said he was bad ass and they train together. Wonder if the first fight wasn't just camera shy The other fighter I like is Nick Diaz, hope he kicks the shit out of Riggs. I like to see the skinny kid beat up the bigger fighters. Glad I never had to train or fight with that guy 467331 Just recently they had the fight to determine who Arlovski is gonna fight. Pretty lame fight, think Arlovski will win easely win. That guy is deffinatly a great fighter. As for the Hoyce/Hughs fight I think Hughs will probably get it. I rather Hoyce win just cuz I would like to see hughs humbled a little. I read where Hughs said that in this fight he is lookin to keep on his feet. I was shocked at that being he usualy does really well and likes the ground . As for whitehead Iam not sure about that guy... He may have been just camera shy but he was just so slow and sloppy. I know heavy weights are gonna be slow but it just didn't look like the guy even knew how to fight. But I agree it will be interesting to see if he comes around. The Diez/Riggs will be yet another interesting fight. I belive both guys are commin in off loses so you know both are lookin to turn things around. I think Riggs is a bit stronger but Diez is deff fast and has allot of heart. Showed that he won't give up when he fougth Sanchez... RIPPEN
Well Chuck won again... Kinda sucked that it only went to the second but thats kinda what I figured would happen. really liked Randy but the mans deff. gettin old. Thought it was funny in the Diez/Riggs fight where Rogan was sayin that he thought Diez won that fight. Musta been high cuz it looked like Riggs was MUCH better than Diez in the first and second. Good fights for the most part Now Iam just lookin forward to Franklins fight... That mans the shit RIPPEN Edited February 5, 2006 by RIPPEN
DemonShee
Rogan kinda sucks as an anouncer. He doesnt realize it but he picks favorties bigtime. Just like you said about Diez. If they gave that fight to Diez I was going to go off!! Diesel lost the first round but after that he won hands down. I laughed my ass off though when Rogan got schooled by the judges. I was really impressed with that one really big guy that won with that opposite direction arm choke. He looked like he could tear some heads off. Randy was doing really well at first, looked really sharp and got in some good moves and shots on Chuck, I thought hmmmm might go to the forth or fifth. To bad Randy slipped but you have to hand it to Chuck, he watches for any mistakes then capitalizes on them big time.
RNBRAD
Yea everyone was wondering if Rogan was watching the same fight as everybody else. Randy also announced his retirement. I guees that's a given.
