BansheeCJ3
Geeze man nobody forced you to do this trade, you did it yourself. You had plenty of time to look that quad over. Your DS really aint the greatest either, yea its nice and in great condition but it needs at least $200 worth of work. I know how it feels to get ripped off, I bought a quadracer for $1,400 and the first time i rode the thing it blew up on me and then i found out that it needed just about everything. I traded an awesome dirtbike and $1,200 for a banshee that "just needed a clutch". I stuck $1,000 or more into it (draining my bank account of money my mom saved up for me since i was born) till the thing was rideable...How do you think i felt about that???. I traded 2 perfect CR-250's for that '02 shee and then i stuck about $1,000 into it to make it look/run good. You don't see me making up bad feedbacks to the people that ripped me off because i agreed to do the deal...it was my fault...and now i got my name all over the internet like I'm some kind of idiot. Your the one that came to me, its not like i replied to your thread and begged you to trade me. If I really was a jerk, I wouldn't of offered you to trade back or throw in money to help you AFTER THE DEAL WAS OVER AND DONE WITH!!! The way I see it, you ripped yourself off. Now everybody is gonna hate me because of your mistake, thanks alot. Once again...I'm really sorry about this CJ Edited January 28, 2006 by BansheeCJ3
chris642
I wouldnt say you got royaly fucked or that you have a parts banshee. Everything you listed really isnt a big deal at all, all your bolt problems can be solved with 2 taps, one for the clutch cover screws, other for the foot pegs. A stock banshee axel could be had for $15-$20 on ebay. new cases can be bought for $100-$125, everything else is small BS, a bolt kit is $15 on ebay, i just bought one. a 2001 DS aint no $4000 machine, i actually see a 2003 DS with piggyack elkas all around and aftermarket a arms with a $3,400 buy it now! http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2003-Bombardier-DS-650-with-extras-not-honda-yamaha_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ63682QQitemZ4608019817QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWDVW You may need to do a little work to it, but you will have a nice machine when you are done. It sounds like he will have to put just as much it the DS as you do, it cant cost more than $200-$250. for those parts. Hell, i practically got ripped off when i traded my RM 250. I was told the banshee ran good, all that was needed is carb repair. Turns out it is blown up and needs to be rebuilt, i didnt really give a shit because it was a project and will be sold for way more than that RM250 ever will. CJ really shouldnt be the blame or be sorry, its was your responsability to check it over. No need to announce it here too, your making CJ look like an ass. Spitfire
You're getting mad at CJ for something he didn't even do? You think he knew that the cases were busted, you think he knew about the self tapping screws? Why don't you go read the bill of sale again, SOLD AS-IS. Don't piss and moan because got the short end of the deal, we all have at one point in time. Hell, I traded Chris642 a NICE rm250 for a nice looking LT250r. Got it home, took it apart to replace a clutch bearing, and come to find out the main bearings had about 1/4" of play. Did I get pissed off at Chris642? Did I make a million posts on the interet about how bad of a person he is, ruining his reputation? NO!!! Because he had no clue. Grow up man, it isn't CJ's fault. Spitfire
Here you go, let's tally this up. The parts you need: Cases- $125 from NYUK Bolt kit- $30 from eBay (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/YAMAHA-ATV-BANSHEE-RAPTOR-YFZ-BLASTER-WARRIOR-BOLT-KIT_W0QQitemZ4607943790QQcategoryZ35591QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem) Axle- $60 +/- $20 from eBay (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Yamaha-banshee-rear-axle-Blaster-Raptor-GUARANTEED_W0QQitemZ4606990389QQcategoryZ43974QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem) Stator (not even neccessary, but you said you wanted it)- $1 dollar on eBay, realistically, it'll probably go up to around $30 though (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/yamaha-banshee-stator_W0QQitemZ4608250753QQcategoryZ43976QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem) So you're complaining because the Banshee needs $245 bucks worth of work? I've spent triple that on some bike's that I got ripped off on. My point....YOU'RE BLOWING THINGS WAY OUT OF PROPORTION!!!!! BansheeCJ3
So you're complaining because the Banshee needs $245 bucks worth of work? /quote] Minus the $100 i gave him because I thought he was a really nice/cool guy I deserve to get my money back since he made me look like a low-life scumbag...that sounds fair to me
Spitfire
We did? Sorry buddy, I didn't have nothing to do with that bike, neither did CJ. Like I said, sometimes you do get the short end of the deal, but that doesn't mean you have to completely kill their reputation. Why don't you check the Bad Feedback for a thread I left about Chris642, you won't find one! I guarantee I've had to put more money into that Quadracer than you will with the Banshee. You just need to relax, it's not the end of the world!!
chris642
,stator cause you dumb asses plugged the headlight plug into the tors brain box, 465682[/snapback] BS alert!!! If any of the headligihts( or even if they are togehter coming out of the light switch) were pluged into the tors brain it would do NOTHING!!! there is only one wire connecting the headlights to the stator. if tors unit is unpluged it doesn nothing, if one of the headlight is unplugged what does it do? NOTHING!! connect them together and unbelievaly they will do nothing!
BansheeCJ3
WELL I GUESS YOU DON"T WANT TO POST HOW YOU TOLD ME YOU KNOW EVERYTHING ABOUT BANSHEES. IF THAT WERE TRUE, YOU HAD NOT 1 BUT 2 OPPERTUNITIES TO BACK OUT OF THE DEAL. ONCE AFTER YOU CHECKED IT OUT AND RODE IT BEFORE YOU EVEN TRADED IT AND AGAIN AFTER YOU CALLED ME TO COMPLAIN ABOUT SOME ISSUES YOU CAME ACROSS WHILE TEARING IT APART. EVEN AFTER TEARING IT APART I TOLD YOU I WOULD TRADE BACK OR CUT YOU A CHECK. YOU CHOSE TO KEEP IT AND GET THE $100. TO ASSIST IN REPAIR. I SUPPOSE YOU DON"T WANT TO LOOK LIKE A DUMB FU@* AND POST HOW YOU LEFT THE KEY IN THE IGNITION ON THE WAY HOME AND LOST IT. PROBABLY WHAT PISSED YOU OFF TO BEGIN WITH! WHAT ABOUT THE $200. WORTH OF EXTRA WHEELS AND TIRES YOU GOT IN W/THE DEAL. TAKE A LOOK AT THE BLUE BOOK VALUES ON BOTH VEHICLES. THE BANSHEE IS HIGHER BOTH RETAIL AND WHOLESALE. YEA IT NEEDS SOME WORK BUT SO DOES YOUR "SWEET" DS650. IT'S REALLY NOT AS NICE AS YOU DESCRIBE. PLASTICS ARE WORN, COULD USE NEW RUBBER, AND UPPER AND LOWER BALL JOINTS-IT PULLS ALL OVER. I GUESS I HAD YOU FIGURED WRONG. IF I KNEW WHAT KIND OF A BACKSTABBER YOU ARE I WOULD HAVE TOLD YOU TO GO FU@* YOURSELF WHEN YOU CALLED THAT NIGHT TO WHINE. OH WELL, WE LEARN FROM OUR MISTAKES. rocketboy
this is nonsense banshee cj3 is NOT at fault ,yo u should have properly check the bike over BEFORE yo u trade or buy ,its just common sense dude . dont bash somebody over your own ignorance ...geez you act like yo u just bought a 50k $ car and the engine blew up ,yo u should probably apologize for being absent minded and belittleing his integrity IMO Edited January 29, 2006 by rocketboy
BansheeCJ3
YO BASKETCASE, NUTJOB, OR WHAT EVER YOU CALL YOURSELF, IF YOU WERE THE BANSHEE PROFESSOR YOU CLAIM TO BE, WHY DIDN'T YOU SEE THE PIECE OF CASE MISSING AT THE FRONT SPROCKET? CERTAINLY YOU CAN"T EXPECT THE GOOD PEOPLE READING YOUR CRAP TO BELIEVE YOU CAN'T SEE THAT WITHOUT REMOVING ANYTHING. IT'S RIGHT OUT IN THE OPEN. THATS ONE OF THE FIRST THINGS I WOULD HAVE LOOKED AT. IN YOUR OWN WORDS "INFAMOUS". YOU SAW ME CHECK OUT THE DS. I POINTED OUT TO YOU THERE THAT THE BALL JOINTS WERE SHOT. I CHECKED THE AXLE AND REAR SUSPENSION. YOU HAD ALL THE TIME I HAD TO CHECK THE BANSHEE OVER. I DID FEEL BAD ABOUT THE " SELF TAPPERS" ON THE CLUTCH SIDE WHICH I DIDN'T KNOW ABOUT, BUT I PAID YOU FOR THAT. BY THE WAY, THEY MAKE HELI COILS EVERY DAY. Edited January 29, 2006 by BansheeCJ3

Dude you had the chance to check it out and half the stuff you listed should have been easy to notice if you would have looked. Besides I rather have a (needs work) banshee rather than a DS anyway. Pay the few bucks to fix the shit and chalk this up as a lesson learned... RIPPEN
ellison445
this topic is a waist of time and space, when you make a trade your suppose to look over the product first. Clearly your own fault on this one, I think a mod should delete this topic
