stuntmasta3o5
bang bang 466002 Did you hid that thing in your shee or did you bring it with you? WHERE could you put a gun in on a shee? (Under the seat?) If you were to put it there.. (Under the seat).. Whats the use of it?.. Stop the bike and pull it out? I could understand if someone is trying to steal your quad or something while your riding.. But those are mostly stickups.. he's already got the gun on you.. (Hold on.. let me lift the seat) But if someone is shooting AT you while your riding.. You gonna pull a Grand Theft Auto stunt and do a drive by? I don't understand.. Shee-Male
So if you had a gun and there is a guy accross the river sooting, would you stop and get out your firearm and shoot back?, are you prepared to suffer the consiquences if you kill him?, same goes for any of these situations, are you just a little crazier than the other guy to pull the triggure?. A close family friend whos a cop used to always tell me that if your going to carry a wepon, you better be prepared to use it, once you pull that puppy out there is no turning back. What if its just some stupid guy that mistaken the property for his own and you go and shoot him and it turns out he's the state atorney's nefew and has a family of 5 and volinteers at the local womens shelter etc. etc. bla bla bla, then where will you be?, someones bitch in a state penatentury thats where! I never ride by myself for this reason or if I should crash.

bigboybanshee
I've actually started to consider carrying a gun when I ride. Last weekend, me and some buddies were riding on what we were pretty sure was public land, when a man with a pit bull and a rifle informed us otherwise, and asked us to leave. Since I didn't figure I could get the rifle away from him quickly enough to shoot the dog we didn't argue, but I'm still fairly certain that it is public land. If I'd have had a firearm of my own, I might have been a little more likely to argue my point. 465836 You're a retard...WTF were you gonna shoot the dog for? Maybe that guy should of shot you for no fucking reason and done us all a favor. You don't even know for sure if it's public/private land and you were wanting to shoot this guy's dog for asking you to leave???? Your stupid ass should have smiled, said sorry, and got the hell out of there. To go with the topic though, I don't carry a gun when I ride...never felt threatened to the point where I'd need a gun. Hilarious
Sometimes I carry a pistol when I am riding around on MY land. It's usually in the summer time and when I am riding on my good ol' warrior, slow I might add. Alot of times, where I'm riding we'll see a rattlesnake or something of that nature and when you're on a warrior going slow sometimes you need to take care of what dangers there may be in the trail. Most of the time that can be prevented though, without having to carry a pistol or whatnot. Otherwise, the firearms stay at home.

Sounds to me like guns will only create more of a problem in these situations. I could see leaving one in a truckand keeping it close while camping but I wouldn't carry one while riding. I have thrown many people off of our land for tresspassing they always say they didn't know who owned the property and the fact of the matter is if you don't know where you are you shouldn't be riding, hunting, standing, or walking there. My family has invested lots of money, time and hardwork in our property for our use and when we find other atv tracks, spent shotgun shells, and gutpiles on our property it's not a good feeling and it sure doesn't make us any friendlier. westexgt
One time I was riding on our local trails (public land) and a guy came out of the bushes with a rifle and just starred at me, really freaked me out!!! But I did what the banshee does best and hauled ass away. I do carry my 9mm with me when I am traveling with my truck and toy hauler to do some dune riding, and while I am at my cabin in the mountains, but I would never ride with a gun.
