phxrider
What's up? I'm kind of new here and this is my first Banshee. It's been a while since I've been in the ridding seen, so I'm trying to catch up on aftermarket parts that are out there. I just came across these Billet inline engine coolers and I can't find them anywhere else but on e-bay and one other site. Does anybody on this forum own one? They say it makes more horse power, but I know that's bull. It might keep you from losing it by keeping the engine cooler, but do they really work? Take me to this product Edited January 27, 2006 by phxrider
Cotton eyed Joe
What's up? I'm kind of new here and this is my first Banshee. I just came across these 20 fin Billet inline engine coolers and I can't find seem to find them anywhere else but on e-bay and one other site. Does anybody on this forum own one? I got one, the kind that is sold off of ebay, and its about 1.25 long, about .625 in diameter with these cute little fins cut into it. When I calculated the total surface area that would help "cool" the radiator fluid, it worked out to a whopping 9 square inches. The inline coolers Ive made have around 40-50 sq inches of surface area...... But honestly, I don't think they are going to give you a 10 degree difference, and as far as horsepower is concerned, probably none is going to be "freed up" by it. You "might" cool it by a degree or two, but surely no substantial gain and definitely not horsepower!

RNBRAD
You guys probably paid more for your finned inserts than I did for my flexicool hose. It's finned from end to end.

Shee-Male
I think there more of a gimmik, this is the radiators job, not only that, an engine has to make heat in order to make power and visa versa. Cooler is not always better!

Polish
this might sound really stupid......but it does cool my engine........... I got a alum......cooler from a computer with fins......(the kind that goes in your tower to keep your componets cool)..........I have a PWR radiator and I attached the cooler to the bottom of the radiator.......(it is a block of alum with finns.........and yes it does keep it about 6-8 degrees cooler).........but big deal..........it does work guys...........i Edited January 28, 2006 by Polish

RNBRAD
You guys kill me. I could of made my kids a sandbox with as much sand as I had on the top case. lol. I'll probably have plenty more to bring home in March as well. Can't wait to do it again!
banshee tuner
I've never installed one of those coolers because of the chance of 2 more places to leak. The best thing I tried for cooling is the engine ice. I used to overheat easy if not cruising in the wind but with the engine ice I can play more in the pits in low gears. blueshee03
inline coolers are a waste of money in my oppinion .tried one and did'nt notice enough difference in temperature to justify the money it cost and the time to install it.engine ice is the only way to go.it dropped the engine temprature 30 degrees+ at the drags.
