1990banshee Posted January 23, 2006 Report Posted January 23, 2006 has anyone ever used any vitos big bore kits or pipes and how did it perform Quote
PUSH THE THROTTLE Posted January 23, 2006 Report Posted January 23, 2006 I've got a bud with a big bore on his blaster and I don't notice any difference. You are better off to get a good port job or a set of cubs. Quote
helldriver Posted January 23, 2006 Report Posted January 23, 2006 (edited) i had the 404 big bore kit in one of old my shees, and never had any problems,, i noticed the power increase Edited January 23, 2006 by helldriver Quote
banshee tuner Posted January 23, 2006 Report Posted January 23, 2006 I've always been told the big bore kits have a lot of torque, but are easy to over rev. You are better off with a stroker. Quote
helldriver Posted January 23, 2006 Report Posted January 23, 2006 yeah, it did have a huge torque increase, but it didnt affect the top end at all,, Quote
chase@miamiatv.com Posted January 23, 2006 Report Posted January 23, 2006 vitoz makes good clutches , i used them for a year now ..... as for anything else i never tried . Quote
Wicked98Shee Posted February 2, 2006 Report Posted February 2, 2006 ive been running my vito's crank, sleeves, pistons for like 2 1/2 years now with no problems so far .. the port work made for some sweet gains ... i just ordered a set of fat bastard's to go with the winter clean up!! Quote
fastbanshee4u Posted February 4, 2006 Report Posted February 4, 2006 If you alredy have a good port job, save your money. If not just port your 350 and ride on.I built a stroker with 404 kit,and another with a stroker with stock size pistons at the same time. The stock piston bike would stomp all over the big bore for speed. Both bikes had the same port timing. lowriderb Posted February 8, 2006 Report Posted February 8, 2006 If you alredy have a good port job, save your money. If not just port your 350 and ride on.I built a stroker with 404 kit,and another with a stroker with stock size pistons at the same time. The stock piston bike would stomp all over the big bore for speed. Both bikes had the same port timing. 468799[/snapback] thats mainly because with the big bore sleeves in the stock cylinders cuts down on the already too small transfer area's so when you start looking at what the flow ammounts through the two the stock sleeved cylinder will flow more through them Quote
Wicked98Shee Posted February 22, 2006 Report Posted February 22, 2006 i got my fat bastard's installed with the airbox too, LOL was rough gettin them to clear everything the right pipe hit the cool head so bad i had to shim the front pipe mounts out about 1/2 inch and well lets just say it was a huge process gettin it to all fit up ... and i gotta say these bad boys are some loud ass beeyatches lol but sound great and perform great too, they rev to the moon ! ! ! ! !
