Shee-Male
My son will be turning 3 in April and I was thinkin of lookin for a "kiddy" quad for him. I know 3 may seem a little young but he has ridden his little power wheels quad and the neighbours elec quad (wich is easly twice as fast) with great control and awareness. He even likes to do tricks like his "green goblin" which consists of holding on to the bars and standing on the seat with his butt in the air So my question to you HQ dads is this: How old do you useually start them? What should I look for in a machine? Any experiance/ advice?
Travis's Banshee
My youngest wil be 4 in July. I just picked up a Predator 50 for him. Hes doing great on it, I ride with him all the time. I keep myself between him and the fence at all times. Start'em young. Let them progress at thier rate. my$.

sredish
my son had a very small indoor quad at like 1 and a half or maybe close to 2. around 2 and a half, got the green Power wheels KFX dealio. Had it for a year and kicked ass on it. This past xmas, he was 3 and a half and got a little chinese 50cc. He's going really really good on it. FasterThanU90
i try to stay away from the no name brands becuase they dont make any replacement parts and are made shitty just from what ive seen id stick to yamaha or honda something sturdy and reliable and say u get a pw50 u can always mod it for urself or son later you can get sum power outta those suckers

Some of them are so cheap its hard to go wrong.
ellison445
Word Eton is your best bet, My son is 6 and he has both now Eton 50 and 90 and those little bikes haul ass with a little guy on it E-ton 40 with the remote kill switch. Pad him up real good and keep your finger on the button. 462468
FIRST BANSHEE
E-ton 40 with the remote kill switch. Pad him up real good and keep your finger on the button. 462468 another vote for the e-ton 40, the remote kill switch is the best. I geared mine down with a 12 in front and a 48 in back. awesome machine. My second son is riding it now. Cody started riding it at 2 1/2, and zac started at 1 1/2 with help. now he rides by himself. They can start racing at 4, start them early.
rocketboy
eton is shit compared to the predator lineup ,they are the best minis money can buy and have excelelnt quality and can be fixed damn near anywhere if there ever is a problem ,they have free whips ,helmets videos and safety stuff they give yo u upon purchase ,my daughter has a predator 90 (shes 6 ) and shes had many other ones and they dont compare to her predator . It's the only one with a remote kill switch. parts are readilly avaible by me, though I haven't had any problems. the predator is big heavy and slow, even the 50 is over 200 lbs. the viper jr is 120 lbs. much easier for a small child to move around. cost is about $500 less than the predator 50 and the e-ton 40 is faster. for the money and quality I have been very happy with the e-ton. and a couple easy mods make it even better.
