r6rider04
I have the Hot Rods crank, how vital are the o-rings on the out side of the crank bearings? The clutch side bearing has no o-ring, the two in the center along with the spacer have an o-ring and the stator side had an o-ring but it has broken does it need an o-ring? i cant see why it would but thats why i'm asking. there is an oil seal on each end of the crank shaft so why would one bearing need one and not the other? please help thanks, Brian The stock crank shaft and bearings don't have o-rings just oil seals on each end. fastbanshee8
You need the o-rings, to keep the bearings from spinning in the cases. The clutch side bearing doesn't have an o-ring, but there is a c clip that goes in the groove in the bearing, and in the groove in the case. r6rider04
any one know where i could find o-rings to replace it, i'm having no luck
fastbanshee8
Contact the crank manufacturer, they should have them, or take one of the o-rings off, and go to a hydraulics repair shop. They will be able to measure the o-ring and get you one.

O-rings was such a great idea.
