Electrical Question

Alright, I'm searching for the wires on the lights on my frieind's '02 Banshee. The guy before him took the lights off, but my friend bought new ones on eBay. We can't find any plugs near the front of the bike that are compatible with the stock lights. I'm wondering if he cut the wires before the plugs, and they're hiding inside the wire looms he has on it. Can anybody tell me what COLOR the wires should be, the ones that lead to the plug for the lights. THANKS!

Well I can only find one of the plugs, it's a white triangular plug, with yellow, green, and a black wire running to it. I found another "group" of wires with the same colors, but they run into the voltage regulator (I think that's what it is, small black box next to the coil). Is there a way, or would it be plausable, to run both headlights off that one set of wires I found. Since I'm cutting the actual plug off anyway, and just gonna connect the wires "manually".

Alright, well I wonder what that little box is then? Because there's a set of headlight wires (3 wires-yellow,green,black) running out of it. Is that for the high/low beam or something? And I can NOT find that other plug for the left headlight. I'm not worried about the high/low beam at all, if I can rig both lights to run on high beams all the time, using JUST that one headlight plug I found, can somebody tell me how? Thanks for all the help guys!!!:notworthy:

Take the wire for the high beams off you headlights and connect them to the yellow wire coming out of your stator. It's the bundle of wires coming out of the motor, look under your carbs. There's only the one yellow and the one black and a big connector so it's easy to find. Make sure you just splice/tap into it, or your regulator won't work anymore and your'll blow your lights. Then take the grounds off your headlights and connect them the black wire next to the yellow off the stator. Again just splice/tap into it this is your ground for the bike. Now if the bike is running your lights will be on. Don't connect both low and high beam on your bike up, your stator can't run both and the wire is not made to run both at the same time. You regulator will still work, because it is wire in parallel (spelling?) and not in series.

Hope this helps.
