cexualcensations
Im in the process of building a banshee from frame up and need some opions on shocks.I was looking at the comp and rebound adjustable works pro series shocks or the elka piggyback comp and rebound adjustable shocks. Ive always heard good things about elka but have never ridden a quad with them.
Shee-Male
Elka's are hella cool, and very high quality! Read through their web site, very informative! If you have the budget go Elka!
Banshee17Racing
I'm not sure on the exact price differences between the two shocks you mentioned, but I would be willing to bet the quality of Elka's are worth the extra dough if you have it. To sum it up....get the best shocks you can afford. PUSH THE THROTTLE
Contact Elka for information and they'll send you a whole package of stuff on their shocks.
Wallrat
I've ridden the older style basic works, several styles of Elkas, and TCS. Personally I'd pick TCS over Elkas, and Elkas over works. Granted the newer works are a whole different shock but still... TCS makes an awesome shock and if you can afford the $850 (fronts only, $450 to rebuild the rear) price tag, they're worth it! The rebuilt rear is nice, but not as nice as a whole new rear shock, but then it doesn't have the price of a new rear shock.
banshee223
has any one tried the ishock, they sound pretty good from there web sit, ishock.com
bansheeryder_69
ELKAS Top of the line stuff, if I had the dough i would go with elka all around
Blue Duece
id evaluate my riding style, then pick a shock and have it built for that, you could get an aggressive shock that will kick your ass like you have no shocks at all, at low speeds yet soak up a seventy footer like it was a curb, your riding style should determine your suspension needs, the dual rate elkas are real nice though
Wallrat
Any decent shock manufacturer will ask you some specifics about your riding style, weight, A arm/swingarm length, etc.
RNBRAD
As popular as Elka is, I can't believe they won't even consider custom colored shocks/springs for their customers.

RNBRAD
Picky picky. 461158 It honestly sucks to be that way too.
dawarriorman
As popular as Elka is, I can't believe they won't even consider custom colored shocks/springs for their customers. 461154 Greater success brings worse customer service (not always). They sell so much now, its not worth the inconvenience of helping out a single customer on a single order. You say your going to order 20 pairs, and I bet they would change their tune. Blue Duece
if red and black doesnt do it for you, maybe eric at elka would consider pink and baby blue?
Banshee17Racing
if red and black doesnt do it for you, maybe eric at elka would consider pink and baby blue? 461467 Actually this color would have matched my BLUE shee a 'lil better... I would have definately thought twice about going to Elka rather than TCS if they would have been able to get me that color.
