Yeah, whats the deal with shooting that kid....they should have written him a nice letter on purple parchment asking him nicely to stop pointing a gun at people. Maybe spray it with perfume or something.

 mmmmmm cupcakes......

I'd have to agree on the "too many movies" comment....

when youre in that type of situation , you aim at center mass and hope your bullets hit first.. ;) adrenaline does funny things to your aim.

And I dont care if youre holding a semi-automatic water balloon dammit ,

if a cop with his weapon drawn says to drop it ... you better!

Can you imagine a group of SWAT members heading to WalMart, asking the baker if they can decorate a sheet cake with "Would You Please Put Your Gun Down?" all standing there in their riot gear and MP5's......

Over the weekend, an attorney for the family said Penley's father told him that he contacted law enforcement before the boy was shot to tell them that his son did not have a gun and that he only had a pellet gun, Local 6 News reported.

However, phone records obtained by the FDLE showed authorities did not make contact with the dead boy's father until about 45 minutes after the boy had been shot, according to a report released Tuesday.

Sick. Didn't this dumbass think that maybe JUST MAYBE the police/law enforcement have their calls recorded? He's just out to make it someone elses fault rather than let the blame lay where it should.

I kind of feel bad for the guy though with his son being shot, and I'm sure he's trying to justify and rationalize what happened and shifting the blame might help him temporarily. But in the end, it was his sons own actions that caused all of this and I hope one day he can admit it.
