odaen
get an adjustable timing plate. after that, might wanna think about getting your cylinders ported.
fastbanshee8
V-Force reeds and cages, either 2's or 3's.
shee13
what exactly does the timing plate do for ya,i figure it probably advances the timing?hard to install?
Banshee17Racing
Yea, it advances the tiiming. Most people advance their timing +4 degrees. Get a port, V-force reeds, timing plate, and lighten your flywheel. The last three aren't going to make a huge difference. The port is pretty much your next option for more power. EDIT: The timing plates are really easy to install. They're located behind your flywheel under the stator cover. You'll need to get a flywheel puller to remove the flywheel, and while its off you might as well get it lightened. You just unbolt the stock timing plate and bolt on the advanced timing plate. Wallrat
You'll also need an impact, a clutch holding tool, or make yourself something to hold the flywheel in order to get the nut off/on.

iceman
i learned you dont actually need a new timing plate. oval out the holes on your stock one with a dremel to accept +4 degrees.

I just think the $35 is worth it because it's adjustable. You can set it to whatever you want.

2003LimitedBanshee
The timing plate, and V-Forces make a pretty decent difference in my opinion. Nothing is going to give you the initial bang for the buck that pipes will over stock. Porting is about the closest, and could be comparable HP per $$. I'm with Banshee17, the $35 timing plate from RS is well worth the peace of mind. Also, you can get a tool, I believe mine is from Pro Motion, that is a combination flywheel holder, and clutch holder. It looks alot like a set of vice grips, and works great!
