ogre03
Have your cylinders ported first. Then ask them what pipes to buy.Talk it over with your porter 451090[/snapback] The thing is though, he never said he was going to get it ported. Although you still haven't really explained the type of riding you do, I'm going to say that you would probably be happiest with some fatties, or maybe T5's. UNITED_BANSHEE_10
so if i leave everything to stock, will the t'6s be the best for me ? I dunno what im really gonna do, i just like to do some sand riding and streets. I would like to intsall somthing i would not regret
northshore
Go with the fatty's or the T6's, it sounds like you wont be doing any porting for awile. Either pipe will be good for running around the dunes or street. YOu will be very happy with either one.
fastbanshee8
I have never run Toomey pipes, but I have a set of Fatty's on my Shee, right now. The Fatty's work real well on a stock bike, and they perform a lot better with porting. Just my .02.

ogre03
I think you are getting too stressed out over something that is more simple than you realize. All of the pipes that have been mentioned are going to cause a big improvement over stock. Everyone has their own opinion of what pipe is best, just like I have a silverado, and will tell you chevy makes a good pick up, someone else is going to have a ford and say they kick ass. The point is it's a matter of opinion. My advice, (I've already said it) buy some fatties, or T5's. Fatties are good pipes, but people seem to think they are not as good a quality as the toomey's. Either way, I think you will be impressed with the improvement. Porting can run from about $250 - $500 or more. It all depends on what you want and or need. UNITED_BANSHEE_10
I just bought T5, does it need porting or not?
JET 99
You do not need porting right now but you need to rejet your carbs to avoid any damage and make use of better air flow thru motor. Once you rejet go enjoy your new found power for awhile and once you are comfortable with that then get some motor work done ie.. porting, head, stroke, clutch, impellar, shift star mod,oh yeah,a arms shocks brake lines, shortened or lengthened swing arm, tires, body mods, WELCOME TO YOUR NEW MONEY PIT ONCE BITTEN YOUR SCREWED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
