I looked up the past Iraq elections. 1995 Saddam received 99.96% of the vote and again in 2002 with a stronger campaign he received 100% of the 11,000,000+ votes. They definately wanted him, I didn't realize that but numbers like that don't lie as much as our president. And when he came to power originally his campaign consisted of only assasinating 3 gov officials and then the day he took power he only had to execute 22 more gov't officials.
