dawarriorman
Ok, I haven't really paid any attention to it before until yesterday, when I let somebody take the shee for a spin. When he got back he remarked how far forward the engagement point was in the travel of the lever. Which made me think, maybe the clutch might be slipping some. (I noticed a little shimmer when I just changed the tranny oil the other day). So I went through the manual, and checked how to adjust the clutch, and mine is adjusted perfect. Lever free play is fine too. So I guess my question is, where is your engagement point?

JET 99
Mine starts to grab a little less than half way thru the travel and full engagement at about a 1/4 inch further out, that is with a nickle width of play between the handle and handle bar mount bracket set with adjuster. hope it helps! BigRed350x
Line up the arros on your clutch arm and your case, then adjust the little set screw down on the clutch boss (inside clutch cover), then adjust it up by your bars. The clymer manual goes into detail on how to set it correctly. You can set it to engage anywhere you want really, but you might not get all the movement out of your clutch that you would want. Mine kicks in just before half-way out.
