i've been thinking about getting vf3's in the spring. changing the reeds and cages shouldn't require any other changes to be made, like jetting or anything should it?? i wouldn't think so.

Depending on other mods, sometimes a different reed setup, will require a rejet. Some reeds will flow more fuel, creating a rich condition. Just put them in, run it, and see. When I added the V-Force 2's, it made the mid-range too rich, and I had to adjust the needle down one notch, i.e. I raised the clip.

I used Boyesen Carbon pro's on stock cage and they worked well. Heard good things about carbon tech reeds, can choose tension for riding style. As far as valves go I used afew of them. Started with RAD valves, worked well on stock motor and carbs then I got V-Force2's , noticed big difference over the RAD but I think I had the first version to the RAD that didn't work with my new 35mm carbs.

Then I got pyramid valves performed same as the V-force for me but not worth the price unless you can get them cheap.

I would say my vote goes for V-force3
