Best gearing for high speeds like 90+

Recommended Posts

im not calling you out or anything but you may alittle wrong. I ride my shee to work on a regular bassis, and I have clocked in mid 80's BEFORE my port work, I know I wasnt anywhere near 70 or 80 horses. Just throwing that out there.

I was thinking the same thing. However, if he's a Pike's Peak guy...he should have some pretty good expertise how to go fast and how to get there.

I agree 80 to 90HP is a little much. I'd say in the 50's you can get there without too much struggle.

Wait...you ride your shee to work? That's not even fair...you should'nt even be able to post that...:)

Just kidding, Kotin...It's just that I'm extremely jealous...:)

You can get the Ricky Stator adjustable timing plate here:

with these mods youll have the engine to pull 90mph easy, and id say you could do it wit h a 16/41 gearing combo . :bolt:  number 7 on your list would be a waste ,a banshee has no rev limiter ,thats totally a gimmick product  <_<

2 strokes don't have a limiter, but if the timing isn't dialed in right, you lose all sorts of power up top, and it feels like you run into a wall. Some OE boxes use that to tell you when to shift. A CDI box by itself is far from a gimmick product, you can get all the advantage of adding timing in the low and mid range, while extending the usable RPM up top. But if they are claiming to up the rev limiter on a 2 stroke, be very wary, they may not understand exactly what they are selling you.
