bansheeryder21
Got an 04 banshee with T-5's, K&N, NOSS head, 20cc domes. What size carbs should I get? I was thinking 28mm but I am not sure. I want my bike to be faster, but I want it to be reliable too. I ride mostly dunes and a little drag! If I get new carbs, should I get new reeds too? Please help!
hittintrees srh
reeds-yes new carbs-not really Unless your ported, stock carbs ,though they are junk, should be fine Reeds are a pretty good mod. You would like em'. Get your flywheel lightend at the same time. Then that sucker will wind-up in a heart beat
odaen
28's would be a good size. reeds may pickup a HP or 2, and should give you some better throttle response.
99Banshee
I would'n get 28m carbs.. i would ate and do some porting and other mods and then get carbs..imo
FASTOYS
We put bigger carbs on all the time on stock ported bikes . I would say 33 pwks would help power everywhere and your throttle response. You say your duning and light dragging so go for it. V force reeds will also help out your response and give 1-3 hp. When you do decide to port it you will already have one up. Dont be skeered , you will love it!

What if I got reeds before carbs, would I notice a big change with just reeds? Because I know reeds are alot cheaper than carbs are! I want more power, but I don't want to spend an arm and a leg doing it! How much are the carbs anyway?
rocketboy
theres some dyno charts posted awhile back by member banchetta and the effects of putting bigger carbs on a unported banshee and various mods ,it should significant loss and iMO youd be better off getting the 30mm oko carb set from carb parts warehouse in Ohio that sel l on ebay for 185$ w/ all the jets ,lines ,and goodies . you need a strong port job to flow the 33pwks or 34 mm pjs on a 350 IMO , otherwise youll likely lose power ,dont over carb your bike ,carbs dont add a shit load of hp anyways ,get your shit ported instead
FASTOYS
Porting well definetly pick it up the most !!! 30s or 33s PWK will help some and will help the response over the stock round slides carbs! The v force will help just a couple of hp. I wouldnt recommend going over 33s though. The porting will pick up a bunch more HP and will run about what the carbs do $! Do you have a timing plate yet? That would be a good gain of about 2 hp for cheap!
bansheeryder21
I think I am going to go with the CPW 30mm carbs. Does anyone out there have that set up? Let me know what you think! I have heard that bigger carbs give you a lot more power. I would do a port and polish but don't have the money right now! $$$

Wallrat
Porting prices start at about $200 and will give you way more power than just changing the carbs.

I live in San Diego. I notice you're in OC. Also what stage you recommend for me? I want my bike fast but reliable!
Wallrat
Jeff at FAST is popular, so is PassionRE. Alot of folks also like Eric Gorr. I had my porting done by a local builder. Custom Creations up in Riverside area. I've got a mild dune port which gave me gains top to bottom, mostly in the mid to upper range. I'd stay away from Trinity but thats up to you. http://www.customcreationsatv.com/
