I know, I know, its a YFZ 450.....

Recommended Posts

Just curious what you think I should ask for a 2005 YFZ450 for price?

Perfect condition low hours only 4-5 tanks of gas thru it. Stock except for the handlebars and the fact that the decals were removed.

If you guys can, give me some ideas. And also let me know how much more you think I could get for it if I was to wait until spring. I understand that quads are the same as snowmobiles, they are a seasonal item and therefore price is highly impacted on the time of the year.

Give me your opinions.....

Well here's the deal. I have a 96 Firebird that was looking to sell and really wanted to get $5000 for it. I had a guy that's interested in trading an 05 YFZ for my car. At first he wanted $5800 for the quad and give $5000 for my car. I told him I can't do it and that it only books for $5250 and that's from a dealer.

So I'd like to know if I could sell it for at least $5000 because I really would like the cash. Or if I should trade and then in the spring try to sell it for like $5500-$6000.

I wouldn't owe anything it would be free and clear......

If this whole trade is just because you want to sell your car for money, than it seems like taking the long way around to get where you want to go. How long have you been trying to sell the car? Is it just that you can't sell it and think maybe you'd have a better chance of getting rid of the quad / get more money out of the quad? It just seems like if you want to sell the car, trading it for something in hopes that you can sell that item for the exact same price as what you want for the car is a lot of work for no benefit, expecially if you have to wait till spring to dump the quad. Besides if you ride it all winter, when spring comes your not going to want to get rid of it :bolt:

Dude, how about you trade me the YFZ for a really delicious ham sandwich. Now... I know you aren't getting the money you want out of it, but it would be a great ham sandwich. I could even make you 2. Sorry I don't know what this has to do with anything.

Well in CA they sell for $8K OTD (tax + BS fees ect) new so it would go for $6K easy here. My friend just bought an 05 YFZ450 for $5500 used with a slip-on pipe and nurfs with very low hours, still had stock knobbies in good shape and I thought he got a really good deal. Other states it would probably go for a little less. I would sell it and ask no less than $5900. I wouldn't give the guy more than $4k for the firebird. Those things self destruct after $120k miles.

No its the real deal, 100% non pussy.

1996 Firebird Formula, LT1 V8, 6spd, t-tops, 89,000 miles, cold air intake, new exhaust, run great, looks great.

I have a baby on the way and would like to sell it. The problem is because its winter everyone thinks they are going to talk me down to $4000. It ain't happening, i'll let it rust into a pile of ash in my garage before I sell it that cheap.

Let me know, need to get $5000 for it....
