MG01SHEE Posted December 2, 2005 Report Posted December 2, 2005 Just finished installing a set of Toomey T-5 pipes with the 2:1 air filter kit on my bike. Took the bike for a banzai run through the neighborhood and wow . Came back checked the plug, perfect. I used the reccomended jet, set the air screws to their reccomended settings and installed their needle. The bike is otherwise stock except for this kit and a Vito's 7 degree key. Next up is the cool head and some V Force 3's.... Quote
ElDiablo52 Posted December 3, 2005 Report Posted December 3, 2005 I know its a review but I just wanted to say you oughta ditch that crappy 2 into 1 filter its garbage and sits too close to the stingers, I woulda went with the K&N clamp ons with outer wears. But hey thats just my two cents. I will say good choice in pipes, T5s are awesome pipes for all around power gains, and they sound pretty damn good too, and dont look all ghey and stuff, basically a wicked set of pipes in all cases. I would agree with you and recomend dealing with toomey T5s to any banshee owner. 5 stars damnit with 3 thumbs up. Quote
6speed Posted December 3, 2005 Report Posted December 3, 2005 Just installed the same set-up with a noss head yesterday. It's really amazing what bolt-ons will do for these things. The pipes fit perfect, look sweet and sound awsome. I would defintly recommend them. Quote
hittintrees srh Posted December 4, 2005 Report Posted December 4, 2005 IMHO T5's are the best allround pipes-I love mine thats for sure-great choice dude!!! Quote
wesw Posted December 4, 2005 Report Posted December 4, 2005 another advice get rid of the timing key it can go bad adn break on you. get a timing plate. rickystator has them 35 bucks. and a lightened flywheel set it to +4 timing, with a head and vf3 you should a have a good setup Quote
98bonerSTOCKshee Posted December 4, 2005 Report Posted December 4, 2005 Toomey s just rock... they were my first mod, I added a K&N instead of the cheap foam filter they sent. Now with the lightened flywheel and a cool head... fuckin fast.... Quote
locogato11283 Posted December 4, 2005 Report Posted December 4, 2005 t5s are prolly the best all around pipe ever built. they work well on stock and ported motors. they have pretty good bottom end and pull hard on top as well.. MG01- get ur bike ported and then feel the difference. Quote
Fireman-hott Posted December 10, 2005 Report Posted December 10, 2005 Yep T-5's were my first pipes too. Liked the power increase but not the light switch powerband. degree key can and probably will sheer at some point, get a adjustable stator. change your timing from +7 to +4. Maybe +5 depending on which other mods you add by than. Quote
Wallrat Posted December 11, 2005 Report Posted December 11, 2005 Lightswitch? On T5's? First time I've heard that claim. T5's roll on almost as smooth as fatties. Quote
