same as above, but also add in longer swing arm, antivibe sterring stem, steering damper, and gear a little higher to help reduce the power band pull, your arms will thank you after about 30 miles. A good twist throttle is also a good idea if you can get used to it.

 no way. i got me a yfz450 and kept the banshee for drag racing.to much trouble now aday i put over 5 grand into the shee for desert racing and it still wasnt good enough. bought the yfz450 and all i needed was skids front to back and an exhaust system. :headbang: but all in all if you got the dough then go with the flow.000_1189.jpgthis was the final product.everything needed for a good desert racer. banshee's are perfect for desert racing, although it's weak side is suspension. I looking in your profile and see you've already got the engine mods so work on the suspension. not sure if you want a longer swingarm, you would get less traction, go shorter. definately a steering stabilizer, 5 gallon ims tank, whole new front suspension +2+1 a-arms with new shocks, rebuilt rear shock, skids, etc

I'm by no means an expert of any kind, but I think Upgrading your radiator would be a good idea. Someone tell me if I'm wrong, I don't want to suggest he spend his money somewhere that it's not really needed, but the cooling system is a weak point on the shee.

Thanks for the ideas and making me feel better about racing a banshee!!  Any suggestions on what brand suspensions?? How about swing ar upgrades, are they needed?

Well what's your budget for suspension? For swingarm upgrades you can have the stock swingarm cut shorter for more traction but that's if you want to. they arent needed but would benefit for more traction. what kind of paul turner pipes do you have (mids/ hi rev)? porting type?
