peterlocal22
now will they include the title, or how would i register it?
korndawg
I'm pretty sure that the new ones that you get from the dealer do not have a serial number on them. As far as registering them, I guess you would just use the serial number from the original frame, or you might see if you can use the numbers that are on the side of the motor. PUSH THE THROTTLE
New frames dont have numbers or a title! Im going through the same problem now. 441595 When I got my new one I just had a new vin assigned, DNR came to my house and inspected it as a home built machine. PUSH THE THROTTLE
I have to check that out, they gave you a sticker? 441598 Yep, they ran the vin on the old frame but as far as I know it's not associated to my new one in any way. The old vin isn't on any of the paperwork.

When I did mine the parts went from the old frame straight to the new frame so I didn't get them confused. You'll need to have something to take out the retainer for the steering stem bearing, I used a bolt that I got at the hardware store do a search on here for the size I know I posted it but I can't recall what it was right now. Make sure you have a clymers handy incase you can't figure something out, the HQ is always here to answer any other questions too.

Hulio-mv
i had a buddy wad up on a tree and bend his frame. he had the local dealer order and install a new frame. when he picked it up the mechanic handed him the section of frame with the vin off his old frame. handed the pipe to him and said keep this its all the proof you have that this quad is yours
shanYE west
I worked at a yamaha dealer, and if the dealer does the frame change they're supposed to stamp the vin in the frame. Dont quote me on it but I think its Illegal if they dont. I know we had to. Could just be company policy though..
