speed_demon
Ok I bought my banshee this summer and it had works shocks on it and I was just wondering what king of shocks they are (mx, drag, ect.) I'm very happy with them but I haven't really done any jumping and I was wondering how well they will do off some big jumps.
ellison445
They could be setup for any type of ridding. I suggest you send them out to get them revalved for your weight and ridding style. Was the old owner around the same weight as you? And what type of ridding did he use the bike for? dawarriorman
DeRisi is the only one I know of off the top of my head. Someone on here does a good job from what Ive heard (shane?). The reason is Works valving system, is a check ball orifice system (unless they've changed). Doesn't work as well as the shim stacks that everyone else uses. Also I thought the check valve system is better than shim stack but it's a patent issue that keeps the other companies from using it at this time. I know the one I had that I took apart (it was connected to the a-arms in my avatar) it just looked cheap. All they use is a round piece of billet with 4 holes in it. The hole size is variable, and the balls sit on top of springs. Faster it moves the more the spring compresses and the ball closes the hole off. Its been awhile since I looked at it (I'll go take some pics tomorrow if I can find it).
