Dirt drag tires

I race at beverley, which at the start line the clay is medium because the water truck usually goes over it and all the bikes dig it up. At half track to the end, the ground is quite hard, and when i took my paddles up i found that it lost traction by half track and had no more pull.

So i am at the point of buying a set of tires and i need the absolute best traction tire for this condition. If anyone can help me out that would be great!!

(the water truck does not wet the last half of track, so it is dry hard ground)

I think a set of pro-wedge 2's or 4-snows would work good for you.Air them up to about 2 or 3 lbs. That lets them be a little wider but once you hammer the throttle they will swell up like a top fueler(NHRA) tire. This will help your top end.The 4-snows I have work pretty good.If you race on a track that has good traction, then a longer swingarm or a wheelie bar might be in order.

The smaller the rim the better. Just lower the air pressure in the tires. Think about a drag car leaving the line you can see the sidewalls on the tires twisting. When you have a large rim you don't have that much side wall since the rim is taking up alot of the area. Therefore you won't have the flex on the sidewall with the larger rims and it will alow the tires to spin easier.

I have also heard that to run 4-snows on hard clay, you should reverse the direction of the tire, is this true? How much psi should i put in to be safe? If i buy a 22x10x8 would i need a 10x8 rim or what would you recommend?

Thanx for all your help hey!!!

ps: i live in australia, not sure if the conditions would worry
