If anyone on here makes or sells the "special adapter" let me know who to PM for one asap....gotta swap that axle soon! badassbanshee479 Posted November 22, 2005 Report Share Posted November 22, 2005 if you buy the right tool for the job, you can use your torque wrench with the adapter and tighten the nuts the right way so that they do not back off. when I changed my swinger I used a big cresent wrench the first time and the nut backed off, so the second time I copyed the wrench I needed and torqued the nuts the right way and they have not moved. better for setting bearing preload also. Banshee~ Posted November 22, 2005 Report Share Posted November 22, 2005 I just used a pipe wrench and a pipe to put on the end of the wrench. Tip: take the nuts off before you take off the tires.
