Wallrat
No shit. Stock pipes will rust like a mofo if u try to shine em. Stock rims? Hmm...well they shouldn't rust but they'll still look pretty gay even polished. Quit trying to polish a turd, man - it never works. Quit trying to polish a turd, man - it never works. 439576[/snapback] They'd look better than some dull, faded stock wheels Some people don't have the money to go out and buy the nice fancy shit, there's nothing gay about trying to polish your stock wheels. I've polished a stock rim and it didn't take much work and made the wheel look 10 times better than before.... If you just want to make your wheels shine a little more, try using some Mothers aluminum polish on them. If you're wanting to fully polish them, there are a couple really good threads on here explaining how to do so. Do a search for polishing; RNBRAD made a post and Meat_Head made a post with great details.

Wallrat
I always forget that the stock rims now aren't gold. IMO the gold really makes it a PITA since you have that much extra work and you can't miss a spot. What's a set of douglas wheels run these days anyway? $20? If u just wanna add a little extra shine then I'll 2nd the mother's. If you want em to really be blinding though I dunno that I'd bother. The equipment involved + the time required isn't really worth the effort IMO. You're still screwed though on the stock pipes. I dunno if they make a clear coat that can withstand the temperature and all clear coats eventually allow some rust.
sandman121383
get a high speed grinder, air or electric and get some buffing wheels for em. i use an angle grinder hooked up to a compressor and ,BLUE MAGIC is the best stuff i've ever found out about. it's so strong that a frien d of mine left some on his tail pipe on his new dodge truckj and it ate the chrome off ! but it works great! so hit it with a buffer and a couple dif times then use a few clean rags on em. Justintoxicated
i agree stock rims are a pain in the ass to polish up unless you have some really nice equipment, I'd jsut buy new rims and save myself the time and effort. Mothers did not do shit for my stock rims, but I have a 200. The stock rims are actualy pretty decent quality rims though. They seem to have a better wall around the bead than douglas. It does take a little work but you can definitely make it happen...I'm one of those people that would rather save the money if I could and put it elsewhere; like my engine
ozosborne
My dmc silencers on the back have got odd water streaks on them. What does one use to get these marks off?
