Right side not hitting right

I when riding last weekend and as i was leaving i noticed that my right side wasnt hitting correctly. I figured they were just coming out of sync so i didnt worry about it. Yesterday i synced the carbs up and it is still not hitting right so i continued to just visualy check everything. I noticed that one of the big flathead screws on the TORS wasnt tight so i just hand tightnend it up and i changed the plugs. i havent started it yet cuz that was around 9pm and i didnt want to upset my neighbors. The way it sounds is when i Rev it up only the left side is firing then if i let off the throttle while it's reved up the right side will fire as it's de-reving. after work i'm going to see if anything is different then continue to check the floats in the carb for dirt. what do you guys think it could be?

if you are talkin about the one at the top of the tors and you tightened it up you took it out of sync those are how you adjust idle and you have to do them both the same amount of turns and i dont think you turn them till they stop i would start over syncing the carbs and go from there

Sometimes the carbs have to by jetted differently. I don't know why, but I know I am not the only one that has had to do this. I run the same mains in both carbs, but I have my needles set on different clips and I adjust my air screws separately. If changing plugs and re-syncing the carbs doesn't fix your problem, I suggest moving the needle clip on the side that isn't firing properly.

Never imagined someone would attempt that. With the exception of the needle or needle valve being severly worn down,I could not understand why you'd have to do that.Maybe with one new carb and one thats been in service since the inception of carburation it could be possible.

Check your needle clip, check your carb sync and make sure your idle height is dam near the same for both slides. Then adjust air screws the same and fire it up with good plugs

Providing the compression is close on each side ,the reeds are in good shape, and the crank seals are good. You should have 2 cylinders firing almost identically. That is,if its not electrical

well al i have to say is that TORS is CRAP!! i just put on the toomey eliminator and motion-pro cable and it is brainless. the idle screws are very easy to drill and tap and now there are conventional idle screws and not something that just holds the cable up. so far so good. no i just have to tune it all up and sync them. Has anyone ever used the mercury sync tool?
