G-MC
Can someone please help...I've got my shee tore down in a thousand pieces but I can't get the pivot bolt that connects the swingarm to the frame out. I've tried everything including beating it with a hammer until I can't swing it anymore! It will only move about a quarter inch. Any advice is greatly appreciated! cb67rs1
get a BFH, or a BIGGER BFH!!! your goign to need a new bolt anyways if its stuck in there, or cut it and remove the swinger and knock it out
G-MC
I tried the BiggestFH I could get my hands on, but great idea about cutting! I'm on my way to pick up a sawzall. Thanks for the advice.
420 RACING
If you have a compressor, get an air hammer and blow it out. I've been down that road before. You will be able to get it out one way or the other. Good luck
Wicked98Shee
a 16lb BFH and a peice of sucker rod is the ticket lol
BansheeBoy17
I had to sawsall mine out as well - pain in the ass.
FASTOYS
Air hammer works decent sometimes with some PB penetrant as the constant vibration helps it come out better than with a BF hammer. The other alternative is a sawzall and reach up in there and cut it out. It sucks but sometimes has to be done! Good luck!
Cotton eyed Joe
I had to use the BFH, and we put an impact on the other side so it would virbrate and rotate as we hammered on it. Once it was out we had to clean up the bolt with some sandpaper because of the corrosion. When you put it back together use a shit load of nickel grease. 99Banshee
Heat it up with a torch then hammer it out...no need to cut anything. Edited November 15, 2005 by 99Banshee
G-MC
I tried the impact/hammer and torch/hammer technique and it still wouln't come out! I went and bought a sawzall and that bolt was out like a fat chick playin dodge ball! Thanks for all the advice fellas!

98bonerSTOCKshee
damn I am going through the same shit... F'n 8# hammer just won't do it... We heated the bolt no luck... I finnally knock it as far as possible, figured I could grind the head down, then knocked it back in, and grinded the other side as much as possible, I can't quit get enough off of either side for the swinger to drop out... Where actually is the saws all beging used? Is it between the frame and swinger?
FASTOYS
Might try a GOOD air hammer first but yes between the frame and swinger for the saw. No fun for sure.
PUSH THE THROTTLE
Mine was locked solid, I hammered, mauled, air hammered and got nothing but about 1/2" total movement till it was completely locked. Got out the torch heated that bolt up on the ends and blew the molten bolt ends out. Swinger pulled right out once the ends of the bolt were gone. WALLACE84
I regrease the bolt on my shee about every 6 months just because I like too. Also when I was taking apart my 85 cr250 I had to cut the swingarm bolt too because there was no other way it would come out Edited February 15, 2006 by WALLACE84
