i have a stock banshee at the moment and i would like to buy a CT racing 400cc stoker kit which is ported.Which pipe and silencer combo would be the best for a great mid-top end with this kit and which would work best on my stock ride at the moment??? :( i ride mostly fast trail and some drags but nothing serious. I want this thing to scream and tear me up some yfz. some other mods i would get would be v force reeds, 35mm trinity CV carb with k&n filter(or which ever carb would be best), possibly some reed spacers. ANY INFO WOULD BE HIGHLY APPRECIATED

youre gonna go 400cc and ride trails?......wierd. if you were just dragging id say go with the CPIs. riding trails and dragging are two different setups. you could probably make the CPIs work in the trails but youd be doing a lot of clutch work. i dunno. 400cc + trails just doesnt sound good to me. you realize that the banshee is a 350cc two stroke. so its already pretty equal to a 450 4 stroke....i think that the way the banshee handles stock you could have all the power in the world and not beat the 450s through the trails. maybe invest in suspension before you go all out with a 400cc. just my .02

well the trails are pretty open stuff i guess what i ment was that i wouldnt be doing anything like motocross or TT .....just fast all around riding. the reason that i was going to get the 400 cc kit is because i believe that i will have to replace my crank soon( jsut a hunch) and if i have to replace my crank then why not give it some more power while i have it on the operating table.......but if not i will probably not be going that direction. Does anyone know where i can find some dyno charts on these pipes

if u notice they cut off the dyno sheet while the cpi's are still climbing. for your type of riding, out of those 3 pipe I would choose the t5's. but 1 question, WHY ct racing? I haven't heard anything good about them, you can get your money's worth somewhere else. their are lots of good builders, patriot racing, passion racing, a&s, GRR, etc. Get a MX port

I know this is going against what most on the HQ will say but I had my first experience this weekend dragging shees and 450's with my FMF's I went to the annual drags in Boonville NY, 500' grass track and there were about 20 shees mostly with Toomey and a few with CPI's. My bike as I consider is very timid for a shee, a MX port, cool head with 21 cc domes, pump gas, V-force, FMF Gold series and 28 FS mikuni's. Ran 8 times with at least one to two shees running along side. The 6 times I got out of the hole straight I beat every one to my suprise. Ya you could argue it is rider skill, traction and consider other variables but after the first 40 feet they were looking at my tail light. Now Most had different heads and I am sure other things but these were all guys in there 20's and 30's running and did not appear to be newbies in the she world. However there was one guy that I did not get a chance to run that ran CPI's that would of smoked me but It looked like the shee had aftermarket cylinder on her.

I have had the shee for 15 years and always wonder how my old school FMF's would do against other brands, Granted it was only 500 ft but the FMF seem to be a real get up and go pipe with very good low to mid to get me to that 500 ' mark first, and yestrerday that was all that mattered.

As for the 450s' this was the first time I ran against them, The Hondas' were behind right from the time the tree turned green, I was not impressed at all. Piped 450's Yamies stayed with me for about 300 ft and then fell 2 to 3 quads behind at the 500 ' mark.

Next year I will bring up the RZ and see how shee runs
