Bigvincent
Well, here is my very first mod to my new Shee. I had the tail light left over from my '04 R6. Wiring was simple and it is bright! I am stillpartial to how it looks...what do you guys think?
blackandyellowshee
Looks good! Make sure it doesn't screw your stator. Do you know how many watts it is?
Hilarious
That looks tight as hell. Let us know how it works for ya.
04ShEeLE
I really like it, did the r6 bracket bolt right up?
Bigvincent
Just curious...how will it effect my startor? I never thought about the effects it would have on it. As far as brackets, I made some out of stainless and some rubber groumets. Thanks for the replies
quad4me
is that LEDs? If so....how many? IF LED's, then most likely would pull less than bulb anyway.

Your head lights are 35watts a peice and your stock tail light is 15watts. If you overload that, it will screw up your stator, well thats what I understand anyway. Anyone else wanna maybe help out a bit?
dawarriorman
It would take more LEDs than you could fit in that light to overload the stator. The only thing I would wonder is if they will last with the banshees electrical system.
2003LimitedBanshee
This may be a dumb question, but here it goes anyway. Do these have a separate circuit for controlling the tail vs. brake light? Or does it use the same input, and vary the intensity of the output based on the voltage input? Also how, if at all, did you address the turn signals. Did you just cut the leads for the turns and ignore? Thanks!
bigford84
well as far as i know the turn signals run on the same wires as the brake light wires but there seperated to each side. so you really dont have to worry bout that but as for the brake tail circuit some use more leds for the brake circuit and seperate out a few of the leds for the tail. The light is only brake and running lamp. Three wires just like the stock tail light, yellow, blue, and black. I believe the brake light, lights seperate LEDS. After riding the other day my buddy told me that the LED'S kept pulsating until I was running pretty strong. I fugured that was normal since there is no battery The only thing I am worrind about is the water. I tried using some silicone to seal everything. As far as the airbox, I really can't remove it due to the amoutn of water we run into on the trails I ride, once summer comes it will be gone hopefully. Thanks Guys
sand rocket
I would pm Justintoxicated. He seems to know his sheet about led lights and the electrical system
2003LimitedBanshee
Sorry, that was a dumb question. I looked at going with an R6 taillight, but it was aftermarket and had integrated turn signals. I forgot, stock has separate markers. I should have read closer, duh.
