BigCP Posted November 4, 2005 Report Posted November 4, 2005 i know my ears will probably burn after posting this but, i just bolted a set of T-5's on my shee tonite and decided to give it a few trial runs up the driveway. keep in mind that my bike currently has fattys on it and don't get me wrong i am completely satisfied with them but, i wanted to help a buddy out so i decided to let him bolt the fmf's on his bike to see if he liked them and might possibly purchase. My first impression was the sound! damn its alot sweeter than fattys and the power increase i thought was slightly more. This is just my opinion though and by no means is my bike anything special. i have a set of rockets also that i have stashed away for my stroker motor im getting fixed this winter but, i just wanted to post this about the T-5's and how impressed i am with them. the sound, the look, the performance is great in my opinion. I guess thats why everyone likes toomey. I have heard though that those shearer pipes also will crank it up so im thinkin about tryin some of those too. Quote
ellison445 Posted November 4, 2005 Report Posted November 4, 2005 Yeap. Toomey pipes are the shizzle Quote
scooter Posted November 4, 2005 Report Posted November 4, 2005 i got t6s and i feel the same way i love em Quote
2003LimitedBanshee Posted November 4, 2005 Report Posted November 4, 2005 Try jetting those T5's a little bigger and you may love them even more. It seems that the Toomey's like a little more main than the Fatty's do. Toomey's do rip, I couldn't be happier. Quote
hittintrees srh Posted November 4, 2005 Report Posted November 4, 2005 Word. Its all about the T5's IMO Quote
FASTOYS Posted November 4, 2005 Report Posted November 4, 2005 Depends. I feel the T6s offer alittle more low end than the T5s. Quote
diggs1870 Posted November 4, 2005 Report Posted November 4, 2005 Depends. I feel the T6s offer alittle more low end than the T5s. 433134[/snapback] Thanks Jeff. Are they better than the CPI's? Quote
Toomey Banshee Posted November 4, 2005 Report Posted November 4, 2005 I have T-5's on a stock port bike and CPI's on a ported bike. If I were to do it over again and only had 1 bike I would just get the CPI's and be done with it. T-5's are awesome, but with porting CPI's are a bit better. Toomeys are the best sounding pipe out there, IMHO. Quote

Toomey Banshee Posted November 4, 2005 Report Posted November 4, 2005 T-6's are for stock motors. Dont respond as well to porting. So I'm told. CPI's work well on a stock motor, really shine on a ported motor. T-5's work well with both. Quote

bansheefreak Posted November 5, 2005 Report Posted November 5, 2005 i think what everyone is saying t5's are pretty much best pipe you can buy ... it will work with ported or unported.... i have t6's and im happy but i got a stock motor for now... but i have had and seen dmc 916's out preform t5's Quote
4everwantedbanshee Posted November 8, 2005 Report Posted November 8, 2005 ya i am thinking about the DMC. i like low end but also top end. Quote
Justintoxicated Posted November 10, 2005 Report Posted November 10, 2005 Fatty's also work very well on a ported motor, possibly better than T5's, but especialy if you use T5 silencers on the Fattys. Tooms do sound and look better than Fattys though, but fatts might sound better with toomy silencers Quote
